0002ccm Treasurer’s Report 2022 1009

SSA TREASURER’S TEXT REPORT WAS REFORMATTED FROM EXCEL TO WORD BY THE SSA SECRETARY FOR THE WEBSITE.

Currently, the account balance is $3,751.08. The SSA is net 3 New Members in 2022 with 5 recruits giving us two years of increased membership. We had 2 deceased members, unfortunately. There was a decrease in the number of active members paying dues in 2022 despite three (3) major efforts from December through April to collect past and current dues. New Members, contributions from Charter Members, and a couple of folks paying past year dues still gave us improved financial performance in 2022. We realized credits of $2810.00 while incurring expenses of $1982.19 and increasing our total account balances to $3751.08 based on the 2022 Net Cash flow of $799.35. The positive trend in membership but additional improvement in member dues will be needed to remain fiscally healthy. Some continued cost avoidance was observed this year due to COVID-19 and lack of Game Attendance, virtual AGM, etc. as well as some members assuming/deferring costs at a couple of events. It is unlikely current fiscal performance will be sufficient to cover projected costs in 2023+ once a full schedule of games resumes and we enact the subsidized games policy now in abeyance. We will still be short ~$1000 annually based on plans for the AGM and 2-3 subsidized games along with materials, mailings, fees, etc. We have 46 members and 1 Organization which have not paid 2022 amounting to $1430.00 potential receipts which have a significant impact. We are also still not bringing in a significant number of legacy members who will inherit arms from current members.

Actions by the Treasurer. Completed transfer of the SSA PayPal Account from Jeffrey Johnstone personally to the SSA under my name and transitioned to a ‘Not For Profit’ status which will allow us to obtain lower fees, etc. after 2+ years. Completed transfer of the SSA BB&T Bank Account to TRUIST following the merger. Working to get the previous SSA name and information corrected which was in error once I can visit TRUIST in Atlanta. Working to transfer the SSA Domain Name/Account from personal ownership by Randal Massey to the SSA under my name as Treasurer. Working transfer of the SSA Domain Name through ICDSoft for more than a year and need to get side by side with Randal since ICDSoft is a UK company but moved their customer service office (outsourced) to a third party in Bulgaria and their billing/processing office is outsourced in Hong Kong so they’re almost impossible to deal with. I think we can make that transfer happen once we get Randal and me both on a call with them. However, it does not appear that ICDSoft or ICE Pacific hosts our website.
