The Sad News: From Anthony Maxwell

I very much regret to announce that Sir Malcolm Rognvald Innes of Edingight, KCVO, WS, FSA Scot, passed away on Sunday 20th of September at St Columba’s Hospice in Edinburgh at the age of 82.

Sir Malcolm was Lord Lyon King of Arms between 1981 and 2001 and was the first person I had a proper conversation with on the subject of heraldry. He was always very kind and generous with me as I learned the gentle science for which I will always be most grateful.

He will be sorely missed by the heraldic community at large and I am sure all readers will join with me in offering our deepest condolences to his three sons, John, Colin and Michael.
