Richard Baird of Rickarton, Ury and Lochwood was named Commander of Clan Baird on 29 August 2019 by Lord Lyon, Dr. Joseph Morrow, CVO. He is married to Polly and they are joined by Angus, Louise and Amelia.

Doctor Debra Baird, the Convenor of Clan Baird Society Worldwide and Richard Baird have completely revamped the operational structure of the Society, basing it in Aberdeenshire, where Richard and his family own the last remaining Baird Estate in Scotland.

The result of this and his appointment have resulted in a very healthy rise in the Society membership, which is very heartening and we hope to go from strength to strength.

The artwork is an interpretation of John Hamilton Gaylor.
