Bishop David William Bacon

ARMS: Azure (Celeste bleu) on a Champagne Vert a church building Argent, portals Sable, roof Proper ( terra cotta).

SOURCE/NOTES & CREDITS: Arms blazon & text by D.Q. Wedvick.

Bishop David William Bacon’s arms had no tinctures of which we are aware. Without colour the arms do not represent true heraldry, so upon discussion with the artist, arms have been rendered with conjectural tinctures which make them heraldic and which we now are attributing in admiration of the good bishop posthumously only 136 years after his demise. ( For the biography of Bishop Bacon, please see his file under Bacon). dqw 20100623

The artwork is a rendering by John Hamilton Gaylor.
