Arms of Prince Edward for his use in Scotland.

On Sunday, 10 Mar 2019, on the occasion of the 55th birthday of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, youngest son of HM the Queen and Prince Philip, Her Majesty bestowed on him the title of Earl of Forfar for his use in Scotland. This is the second creation of this title.

The first creation of the Earl of Forfar was in 1661 for Archibald Douglas who was succeeded by his son, Archibald Douglas, as 2nd Earl in 1712 and who was wounded and died unmarried in 1715, age 23, when the title went extinct.

The artwork is a rendition by John Hamilton Gaylor.
