Dr. Antti Matikkala

Antti Matikkala, the well known Finnish heraldist born in 1979, he died suddenly
on 14 January 2019 at age 40, leaving a young family behind. He was a member of the International Academy of Heraldry, and has published much in Finnish and also in English including the book : “The Orders of Knighthood and the Formation of the British Honours System 1660-1760”. He will be sorely missed.
