Stig Axel Fridolf Jägerskiöld born on 20 April 1911, died in 1997, was a professor and in later life an author, best known for his eight volume biography of his cousin, Marshal of Finland, Gustaf Mannerheim ( 8 volumes in both Swedish and Finnish and a one volume reprise in English ). Also, an ancestor of his, Carl Ludvig Jägerskiöld, a Lieutenant in the Swedish Navy, married Catherine Pellew circa. 1786, a sister of Sir Edward Pellew, 1st Viscount Exmouth, from whom descend all the extant Swedish and Finnish members of the Jägerskiöld family. Blazon translated from the Swedish by D. Wedvick and adapted by J. Gaylor from “Den svenska adelns vapenbok” by Dahlby and Raneke, Albert Bonniers Förlag, Stockholm, 1967, page 108.
