David Ogilvy, 13th Earl of Airlie ( Peerage of Scotland 1639 ) KT, GVCO, PC, JP,
b 17 May 1926. He was the last survivor who attended the Coronations of George VI in 1937, Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 and King Charles III in 2023.

In reference to the Officers of Order of the Thistle:
The Earl of Airlie was the latest Chancellor of the Order appointed in 2007

In addition, he was appointed a Knight of the Order of the Thistle in 1985 and was the second senior Knight of the Thistle being appointed after the Earl of Elgin who was appointed in 1981.

Lord Ogilvy the 13th Earl of Airlie died on 26 June 2023, at age 97
