Shield: per pale: to dexter: Azure a sword erect Argent hilted Or and enfiled by an open crown Or. ( Diocese of Stockholm);
to sinister: Or issuant from a triple mount Gules in base an oaken shaft paleways showing two leaves pendant and a third erect and fructed between them with two acorns Vert and in chief two stars of six points Vert and in base a third such star Or charged on the mount ( Arborelius ).

Lars Anders Cardinal Arborelius OCD was born on 24 September 1949. He is the senior-ranking Swedish Catholic prelate who has served as Bishop of Stockholm since 1998. Pope Francis made him the first ever cardinal from Scandinavia in 2017. He is a member of the Discalced Carmelites.

On 17 November 1998, Pope John Paul II appointed Arborelius Bishop of Stockholm. The Diocese of Stockholm which is the only Catholic diocese in Sweden, comprising the entire country. Arborelius became the first ethnic Swedish Catholic Bishop since the Protestant Reformation.
