Since our website is concerned with Scots armigers, we thought was time for a look at a few of the members of the Peerage of Scotland.
[08] Roxburghe

The Duke of Roxburghe His creation was the last dukedom and the very last addition to the Peerage of Scotland.
[09] Annandale

The Marquess of Annandale
Arms: Quarterly, 1st and 4th Argent a saltire Sable on a chief Gules three cushions Or, for Johnstone; 2nd and 3rd Or an anchor Gules, for Fairholm
[10] Ilay

The Earldom of Ilay being extinct is not listed in Appendix B, The Union Role of 1960. (pp 159-160, “The Sixteen Peers of Scotland”, Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, Bt., 1960 )

The Viscounty of Primrose then became a subsidiary title of the Earl of Rosebery.
[12] Polwarth

The current holder is Andrew Walter Hepburne-Scott, 11th Lord Polwarth, born in 1947, his heir is the Hon. William Henry Hepburne-Scott, Master of Polwarth born in 1973 and his heir is his son Harry Walter Hepburn-Scott born in 2010. So, the succession to this peerage looks good.

[14] The Premier Baronet of Nova Scotia

Sir Robert Gordon of Gordonstoun, Bt., was born on 14 May 1580 at Dunrobin Castle in Sutherland and died in 1656, was the fourth but second surviving son of Alexander, 12th Earl of Sutherland, and Jane Gordon, daughter of the Earl of Huntly.

Dame Maureen Daisy Helen Dunbar (formerly Moore), 8th Baronetess of Hempriggs Was born on 19 Aug 1906 and succeeded her kinsman on 4 Feb 1963
