These are the fictional arms of Claire Elizabeth Beauchamp, born 20 October 1918, known as “Sassenach” one of the two chief characters of the best seller “Outlander” Series by Miss Diana Gabaldon.

The genealogy and arms of this family was written up and given their arms with the help of the Baronage Press and were used by Miss Gabaldon in her book “The Outlandish Companion” in 1999. There are nine books in “The Outlander” series published to date (also known as Big Fat Books) that deal with the period 1743-1783, the first three about the rising of 1745 in Scotland and the next six about the American Revolution of 1776-83.

The ninth book, “Go tell the Bees That I am Gone” was published on 23 Nov 2021 both in the US and the UK.

It remains to be seen if the author will write a tenth book for the “Outlander” series. The door has remained open to do so with a number of matters unresolved in “Bees”.
