Mary Stuart Beil was born on Feb 26, 1946 in Johnson City, TN. She is the only child of Robert Junior Beil and Mary Montgomery Stuart. Daughter Mary was delivered by her Stuart Grandfather, the only physician in that part of TN at the time.
Mary attended public schools in Nashville, where her Mother taught high school English; while her Father was a professor of Aerospace Studies at Vanderbilt University. Mary entered Vanderbilt University herself, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1968. She entered the University of Iowa that Fall, graduating two years later with a Master of Arts degree. She met her husband there in 1969. When he completed Teacher training there for his primary school credential, they moved to Minnesota, then California and afterwards, New Mexico. They divorced there in 1986.
Mary’s primary occupation has always been Accounting. She also completed a Certificate program in Management Systems through the University of Minnesota in 1972. Then earned her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 2002, while residing in Oregon.
Her hobbies included: pistol marksmanship, Scuba and camping. She had always been interested on Archeology and that is reflected in her motto and spent a good deal of time travelling to ruin sites in the American Southwest that represented cultures pre-dating the current inhabitants. Mary got interested in Heraldry in 2000, eventually receiving a Certification of Arms from the Spanish Cronista, then a Matriculation from Lyon Court. Both registered with the American College of Heraldry.
Mary died in an accident July 5, 2007, in Knoxville, TN. dqw 2013 0407
