Verra sorry to hear of the death of Johnny Dumfries, the former race car driver and the 7th Marquess of Bute. He seemed young to die at only 62 on 22 Mar 2021. He was of course a male descendant of the 3rd Marquess of Bute, John Crichton-Stuart, who at age 21 became the richest man in the UK with an income then (1868) of ÂŁ300,000. He like Johnny did a lot of good in his lifetime, he was generous with his followers and employees, unfortunately he too died early in 1900 at age, we believe, 53.

The artwork is an interpretation by John Hamilton Gaylor.
