Garrison

We felt a new and additional entry was needed for our late friend David Garrison.

Arms: Argent a dragon Vert forefeet and wings Or armed Gules breathing fire Proper grasping in its dexter foreclaw a long cross of the Third and in its sinister foreclaw a mullet of the First.

David Lacey Garrison, Jr., Baron of Tranent & Cockenzie was born on 12 July 1945 in Houston, TX. After graduating from Lawrenceville School in 1963 he attended Louisiana State University and then Columbia University. In 1991 he received a Doctorate of Laws from La Academia Mexicana, Mexico City.

Garrison was an oil industry executive, president of Garrison Oil Corporation and Lakeside Exploration Corporation, Houston, TX. He served as a member of the Executive Board of the Houston Area Council of Boy Scouts.

He was a Knight Commander of St. Gregory the Great (Vatican), a Knight of the Order of Malta, a Knight of the Equestrian Order of Holy Sepulchre (Vatican), a Knight of Justice of the Most Venerable of Order of St. John (UK), a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Francis I (Two Sicilies) and a Member of the Society of the Cincinnati.

In 1989, he became the Delegate of the Sacred and Military Constantinian Order of St. George (Naples) of which he was a Knight Grand Cross with Gold Star and decorated with the Collar.

Garrison was a Scottish armiger and landowner, and was the feudal baron of Tranent and Cockenzie in Scotland.

David was married had three children and died on 25 Jan 2006. RIP
