Arms: Argent, an eagle displayed Sable goutée d’Or, on a chief Gules two dragon galleys Or that on the dexter with sail set Or charged of a fess chequy Azure and Argent and that on the sinister with sail set Argent charged of a cross engrailed Sable.

Crest: Issuant from a naval Crown Or a sea-lion Gules armed, langued and tailed Azure holding in its dexter paw a naval cutlass Proper and in its sinister a quill pen Sable feathered Argent.

Motto: ‘Honour, Courage, Freedom’

Warrant: Feb 2008 Lyon Court.

LCDR John Curtiss Glynn of Glynstewart, CStJ, USN (Ret.) A living armiger, born in 1945.

He has held positions as an officer of the Society: first as the Secretary of the Society, then as Secretary-Treasurer and most recently again as Secretary.

On Saturday, November 21, 2020 the SSA Board of Governors elected LCDR John Glynn of Glynstewart as a Fellow of the Society of Scottish Armigers.
