Mark Paul Lindley-Highfield of Ballumbie Castle was born in Edgbaston, Birmingham, England in 1975. His education includes the Degrees of Bachelor of Arts of the Open University and Master of Arts and Master of Research of the University of Aberdeen. He is a Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and is presently a Lecturer in Anthropology in the Cotswolds, England.
The armiger married in Peterhead in the County of Aberdeen, Scotland on 26 November 2007, Charlotte Amy Jane, only daughter of Robert William Winlow, of Seaton Old Hall in the County of York, England. The armiger is the eldest son of Gregory Paul Highfield and his wife Andrea Paula, daughter of George Edward Dale. The Armiger currently resides in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.
Within the matriculation it shows that by Disposition of date 4 June 2008 recorded in the Land Register of Scotland for the County of Angus of date 9 June 2008 the armiger was infeft in All and Whole the Lands of Ballumbie Castle, Dundee in the County of Angus. The Lord Lyon also recognised him in the name of Mark Paul Lindley-Highfield of Ballumbie Castle in the Letters Patent of his grant. dqw 2013 0528
