Macnab

James Charles MacNab of MacNab, 23rd Chief of the Clan MacNab, born 14 Apr 1926, died 11 January, 2013, aged 86. He was a son of Lt-Col James Alexander MacNab by his 1st wife the former Ursula Barnett, scion of the landed family of Barnett of Glympton; he succeeded his great uncle as clan chief in 1970, the family home was Kinnell House, Killin, Perthshire, but much of the estate was lost to death duties; married 11 Apr, 1959, the Hon Diana Mary Anstruther-Gray, daughter of Baron Kilmany (life peer), by whom he had issue, four children.

He is succeeded by his elder son, James William Archibald MacNab, yr of MacNab, who was born 22 March, 1963.
