BLAZON OF ARMS:

SHIELD: Parted per fess embattled Azure and Or, in chief the Oronsay Cross Proper surmounted of a claymore Argent, point downward, in base a birlinn Proper in full sail facing sinister, all within a bordure Argent bearing three flowers of the Tulip tree Or.

CREST: A Griffon beaked Argent langued Gules winged Argent, its upper body and head Copper (the colours of an eagle’s feathers Proper), its lower body and gambs Tenne (the colour of a lion Proper) armed Or, holding between its paws a claymore Proper.

MOTTO: COMPLETE THE TASK

PENNON: 120 centimetres in length or thereby of two tracts of the liveries and with the arms in the hoist, bearing the motto counter-changed Azure and Or. The pennon being limited to the armiger and his heir successors in the said armorial bearings.

Thomas Patrick McDuffee born in 1950 in Lafayette, IN, USA the eldest son of Wallace Ford McDuffee and his wife Anna Marie Feeley who were married in 1948 in New York, USA. The armiger holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations from Krannert Graduate School of Management, Purdue University West Lafayette, IN, USA.

McDuffee’s military service was in the 38th Infantry Division, U.S. Army National Guard.

Tom’s corporate career was in the area of Human Resources from which he retired as Senior VP of Human Resources for a business unit of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain of Paris, France. He had previously worked for RCA and GE in, North America and Asia, and Caradon of London, England. He served as VP of Human Resources for RCA in Taiwan which included Human Resources oversight responsibilities for South Korea and Japan.

Tom was able to prove his paternal ancestry back through New Hampshire in the United States prior to 1783. His paternal line emigrated in 1718 from Ulster, Northern Ireland.

Tom married in 1971 in Lafayette, IN, USA to Jennifer Jo Wolf. They have issue: An eldest son, Jake Nathaniel born in 1976 in Beech Grove, IN, USA and a second son, Dair Alexander born in 1982 in Lafayette, IN, USA. Both of Tom’s sons married and between them have four grandchildren.

Today Tom and his wife Jennifer are active retirees attending multiple major Highland Games such as Grandfather Mountain and Loon Mountain each year. Tom has been the President of the MacDuffee Clan Society for the past 15 years.
