Arms are from the records of Seton Hall University. H. E. the Most Rev. Msgr. James Aloysius McNulty, D.D. was born on 16 January 1900 in New York, Ordained on 12 July 1925 in Newark, NJ, Consecrated 7 October 1947 and appointed Titular Bishop of Methone and as the Auxiliary Bishop of Newark.

He Confirmed us on the 30th of March 1952 at the Sacred Heart Church, Haworth, NJ in the Archdiocese of Newark, NJ. On 9 April 1953 he was appointed the 3rd Bishop of Patterson, NJ, serving there till 12 February 1963, then appointed 10th Bishop of Buffalo, NY, serving till 4 Sep 1972 when he died.
