BLAZON OF ARMS:
SHIELD: Per chevron Argent and Or, on a chevron between in chief two mullets Azure and in base a lions head erased Gules langued Azure, three mullets Argent.
CREST: A golden eagle close holding in its beak a sprig of box proper.
MOTTO: Repellam Umbras.
PENNON: Upon a pennon 120cm or thereby these liveries Argent and Azure with the arms of the petitioner in the hoist bearing his motto in two lines counterchanged.
Jean-Guy Philip Boisserolles de St Julien holds the Barony of Hartsyde, an old Scottish feudal Crown Barony (1345) and is located in Upper Clydesdale, near Biggar, Lanarkshire.
The Dignity of the Barony of Hartsyde was registered in vol.2 of the Scottish Barony Register of date 26 February 2010.
The Lord Lyon recognized the armiger as Baron of Hartsyde and granted him Arms 21st June 2013, (Public Register of All Arms and Bearings in Scotland -Folio 102, Volume 88), with a baronial helm appropriate to the Dignity of a Baron in the Baronage of Scotland.
The 20th Baron of Hartsyde is a Full Member of The Convention of the Baronage of Scotland.
The Baron of Hartsyde is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Ecole Nationale de la Santé Publique.
From a career perspective, he has spent most of his life as a hospital director.
He married in July 1995 Delphine François and they have issue, two sons and a girl.
Jean-Guillaume born in 1996, his heir apparent, Enguerrand born in 1999 and Charlotte born in 2001.
