Blazon: Or a Greek cross flory Gules a chief parted per fir trees Vert.

SOURCES, NOTES & CREDITS: Illustration for background is from Exarandorum, Fr. Selvester’s blog, the blazon and biographic information is from The American Heraldry Society. To date we have known and met only two Catholic clergymen interested in heraldry, Fr. Guy Selvester in the US and Archbishop Bruno Heim whom we met in Rome. Also, Fr. Selvester is one of two clergymen shown on this website with his shield adorned with a galero and the single side tassels of simple priests, the other being St. Francis Zavier.

The Rev. Father Guy Selvester is an American Roman Catholic priest born in 1964 in Plainview, New York. He is the currently the 9th Pastor of St. Mary, Star of the Sea Parish in South Amboy, NJ. As a heraldist he is intensely interested in promoting good heraldry in the ecclesiastical world of Catholic priests, bishops and cardinals.

The artwork is an interpretation of John Hamilton Gaylor.
