Major Neil Kilpatrick Cargill, MVO, was appointed Falkland Pursuivant Extraordinary on 1st August 2024. Major Cargill is a serving British Army Officer in The Royal Regiment of Scotland. Before attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, he read Economics at the University of Aberdeen. Of particular note, Major Cargill was the principal military planner for the execution of Operation UNICORN and Operation SCEPTRE, in direct support of The Court of the Lord Lyon, for which HM The King created him a Member of the Royal Victorian Order in August 2024.

The previous Falkland Pursuivant was Colin Caldwell Russell
