05. Dean of the Order of the Thistle

The Very Reverend Professor David Alexander Syme Fergusson, OBE, QHC, FBA, FRSE is a Scottish theologian. He was born on 3 Aug 1956 in Glasgow, is Professor of Divinity at New College at the University of Edinburgh and is a minister of the Church of Scotland. He was installed as a personal chaplain to the Queen in Nov 2015 and was appointed an Officer of The Order of the British Empire in 2016 for services to education, the arts and the Church of Scotland.
