Recent colour photo of the famous Firth of Forth Railway Bridge which was completed in 1889 and opened in 1890 by the then Duke of Rothesay ( the future Edward VII ), the bridge is double tracked and also figured in the 1935 film “The 39 Steps”, a Hitchcock thriller, based on the 1915 book of the same name by John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir.
