Z5 Bhp Williamson

HE Bishop Richard Williamson

Blazon: Azure, a lion passant guardant or holding in its dexter forepaw a sword fessways point to sinister Argent, and in base a cross flory Argent surmounted of an inverted cinquefoil Or.

The Artwork is a rendition by the late Michael Francis McCarthy which he did for me for articles on traditional popes (1832-1958) and their legacy published in the Heraldic Society of Scotland’s “Tak Tent” No. 32 ( Apr. 2006 ) and “The Double Tressure” No. 31 ( 2009 ) & No. 32 ( 2009)

Note: Bishop Williamson is no longer a member of the SSPX as he was expelled from the Society in 2012. He became an “Independent Bishop. After leaving the Society, Williamson opposed the Society’s potential reconciliation with Rome. He has since consecrated Jean-Michel Faure in 2015, Tomás de Aquino Ferreira da Costa in 2016 and Geraldo Zendejas in 1917 as bishops, meaning that he is once again automatically excommunicated by the Catholic Church…
